Lamb Shank (Bone-in)

  • Unseasoned: $14.99/lb, Seasoned: $15.99/lb
  • The Classic Seasoning includes: Salt, Black Pepper, Olive Oil, Thyme and slices of Garlic
  • One Whole Boneless Lamb Shank weighs roughly between 2 lb and 3 lb
  • Sits above the knee joint and below the leg.
  • Slow cooking at a low temperature with stock and/or wine will provide the best flavor.

Cooking Instructions

For a 3 lb Shank

In a Slow Cooker:
1) Add beef or chicken broth to the slow cooker
2) Season the shank and place it in the slow cooker
3) Cover and cook on High for 4hrs or on Low for 7hrs.

In a Dutch Oven:
1) Preheat oven to 350°F
2) Season the shank and place it in the Dutch Oven
3) Cook at medium-high heat until golden all over then remove the shank from the dutch oven.
4) After you cooked your other ingredients, add them as well as broth to the dutch oven and finally add the lamb and cover
5) Bring to a boil then transfer to the oven and cook for 2 - 2 ½ hours.
